Mississippi State University Summer Reading Skills Programs

Individualized programs include a skilled and encouraging teacher, independent reading in great books, and engaging online instruction.

Programs are offered by Mississippi State University, Center for Continuing Education, a non-profit organization. Programs are taught by skilled and dedicated teachers from the Institute of Reading Development. Tuition varies by program level. Please ask about our family discount.


Please take advantage of the Grab and GO Lunches available at West Lowndes High School beginning March 23, 2020. The lunches can be picked up from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Also, West Lowndes Elementary teachers have prepared educational packages for students from PreK thru 6th grade to continue learning at home, which are available for pick-up on Monday, March 23, 2020 at WLHS.

Please join us for our Annual Title I Meeting SEPTEMBER 24, 2019 at 5:00 pm to discuss our Title I Program and help build family engagement and a support system between WLES.
